McAfee’s Spyware Quiz Fails Most Users

Aviran’s Place has an entry up talking about the results of a spyware quiz created by antivirus maker McAfee.

According to the results of the quiz, nearly 65% of all quiz takers would have been infected by spyware and adware had the tests been real.  And even those who did better at correctly identifying potential spyware were still likely to visit a potentially dangerous website within thirty days.

Take the SiteAdvisor Spyware Quiz yourself and see how well you’d fare.  And don’t forget to look into an antispyware program such as Webroot’s Spysweeper.

Technical Difficulties

If you’ve come through this website before, you’ve probably noticed a large amount of content missing. That’s because the hard drive on the original webserver went bad and needed to be replaced.

Test Pattern

I’ve moved MeisterPlanet to the webhost service Dreamhost.com until I can get access to the backups at MJZ Hosting and restore access to the site on their servers.

In the meantime, I have most of the text from my posts already uploaded from a personal backup I’ve made, but it will probably be a few more days until all the image files that make up much of my site will return.
