Image of the Day: Halloween Lion Cub
A costumed lion cub and his mom check out some animated decorations at the Meister House.
This year’s Halloween at the Meister House involved no less than 153 children stopping by to take in our outdoor and indoor displays. Between the kids and their parents, grandparents and friends, we had somewhere around 300+ people coming through our over-sized garage this year.
Some of the little costumed visitors were so engrossed pushing the buttons to start all the animated decorations that they forgot to grab some candy on their way out.

These panoramic photos were made using multiple pan shots across our outside Halloween decorations and the “stitch mode” of my Canon Powershot A520 digital camera.
The ability of the computer software to work with the camera’s stitch feature and merge the resulting photos in an unbroken panorama is pretty impressive, particularly for how little I paid for the camera.

Now that we’re within two weeks of Halloween, the outside decorations around the Meister House are starting to fall into place.

Image of the Day: Halloween Countdown Begins
The countdown to Halloween has begun at the Meister House, which means getting all the various holiday decorations we have out of storage and into “staging areas” around the house over the next 54 days.
