I’ve finally broken down and joined in the growing tsunami of Nintendo Wii owners thanks to a recent surge in supply here in northeast Ohio.
Games for the system aren’t quite as plentiful yet as I’d like, though I suspect the Wii will always serve as a diversion from my usual PC and Xbox 360 gamer fare. Still, I’m sure it’ll be a hit with my non-gamer family members, particularly the Meister Mom. She’ll absolutely love Wii Sport’s bowling.
If you have Netflix as well as a love for over-the-top martial arts or sci fi flicks, put INFRAMAN in your rental queue.
Your life won’t be complete until you subject yourself to this experience.
This “How to Kill a Brand” song and video by DocAdams is currently making it’s way across video game fan sites across the net, leaving the usual gaming console arguments and flamefests in it’s wake.
I’d say more, but I’m too busy playing Crackdown on my Xbox 360.
If you have an Xbox 306, you probably already know why nearly all my free time is being taken up by the recently released Crackdown by Realtime Worlds.
I’ve seen plenty of great one-liners to describe this open-world, dystopian, cyberpunk, comic book of a game, but my favorite so far is “Grand Theft V for Vendetta”.
Now that I have a 32″ LCD HDTV, Xbox 360, upconverting DVD player and DVR, I needed a way to connect all these devices to my television.
To accomplish this, as well as provide surround-sound to go along with my video, I purchased a Yamaha YHT-370
I’m not an audiophile, so I wasn’t looking for an expensive solution. I also wanted to avoid picking out a large number of individual components, which lead me to a HTIB (Home Theater in a Box). The sound from the YHT-370 fills my room while providing three component inputs so that I can easily switch between them.
The unit does not have HDMI support, which is in-line with what is a mid-level HTIB system, but even as an entry-level unit it’s a good choice for me as I can always upgrade individual components later, such as the unpowered subwoofer that still provides plenty of bass.
